City Schools continues to proudly partner with the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens

Baltimore Orioles staff and volunteers recently visited Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School for this year’s Play Ball Day. This program takes place worldwide from Friday, June 14, to Sunday, June 16, 2024. Hosted by the MLB and their youth league partners, the event aims to encourage students of all ages to learn more about the game and develop new skills in a fun environment.

Last week, the Baltimore Ravens organization showed up in full force to partner with Heart of America, working to transform The Historic Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Elementary School through freshly painted classrooms, revitalized wellness centers for staff, new trees, and playground equipment, bikes for students and the dedication of the Theresa Marshburn Center in honor of the beloved crossing guard and community member. The recent changes that City Schools has done in the building, along with the Heart of America and Ravens' initiative, have brought fresh life to the school community. In the words of Principal Bettye Adams, “Students deserve to show up in spaces where it looks like someone loves them. And with that love, they’re going to be great scholars.”
